Why would Stanford invite Mr. Beam to speak to its business students? - Mr. Beam was previously the CEA of health south and has learned the hard ways of running a business. He learned how a successful business operates and how it fails as well. Mr. Beam entered some falsified accounting while he was at Health south. Later it became a huge controversy for him. Stanford invited Mr. Beam to speak to its students because he learned the hard and difficult way of a business and the secrets inside a company. He talked about how it messed him up. He learned about the downfalls of a business and how it can be corrupted. 2. When did he meet Scrushy? How? Did beam want the job? - Beam first met Mr. Scrushy in the summer of 1980 when he was living in Houston Texas. Mr. Beam has responded to a controller position and applied for the job. He went in for an interview and the interview was with Mr. Scrushy. Beam accepted the job and he thought it was the best job anyone can get in Houston, Texas. Beam Thought Scrushy was the most brilliant man he had ever met.
