Hirakata 1 Tommy Hirakata Professor Rowan English 101 (HYB3) 24 January 2019 Summary of Developing Study Skills and Becoming a Successful College Writer One of the most important topics of this chapter is the learning styles. It is important to know what learning style works best for you, because you can develop strategies for studying, time management and note taking. Also, you can try to develop other learning style, because as a student you will need more than one learning style .The learning styles are visual, verbal, auditory, and kinesthetic. Time management is another of the most important topics of this chapter. The student has more freedom to create his schedule but has more responsibility too. This creates challenges. Here are some do’s that the student can do. Be realistic with his schedule, sometimes he will not be able to have time for fun, have a break is not bad, etc. Here are some don’ts. Do not procrastinate, do not drink too much coffee to compensate for lack of sleep, and do not accumulate homework.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
