Ali 1 Umar Ali Professor K ENG 151 November 25 th , 2018 Right to Equality It may be difficult for the millennial generation to understand the topic of discrimination and how harsh fellow Americans were treated. In today's time, many people consider everyone equal in all aspects. It wasn't always equality in the world. Individuals would discriminate against race, sex, age, gender and anything else that was socially controversial. The value of equality can seem to demand consistency that seems unpleasant. For example, if everyone was forced to speak the same language, wear the same clothes, or aspire to be the same thing one would view equality as unbearable. This right is in almost every constitution and guarantees all liberties of an individual. The purpose of this essay is to go in-depth about Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights. Even though people consider everyone to be equal there are many events happening today that oppose this right and show that regardless of what the Universal Rights states, individuals are still being treated unfairly. The word brotherhood is used to help humans gain a sense of unity when one is an in a brotherhood, they are expected to show fellowship and mutualism towards one another. Scholars have traced the origin of Article 1 back

In the beginning, Art icle 1 wasn’t a part of that section because delegates debated whether or not to put it into the preamble. The Article was so controversial that there were disagreements on the diction of the statement because of the word “born”. It was made because during World War II many abused the human rights that were already set forth. French Delegate Rene Cassin drafted the Article and made sure to enforce the “unity of the human race”. (
