Adams 1 Aliyah Adams Mrs.Bolhouse Seminar 9/19/18 How do people’s pay differ in relation to their gender? Do you think you should get paid differently over something you cannot control? This is a normal thing for women in the workforce, for years there has been gender discrimination and wage gaps between women in men. Women make up almost half of the workforce making them a key source to success, IWPR’S report on sex and race discrimination in the workplace show that there’s discrimination in pay, hiring, and even dealing with promotions for women. Majority of women in society are the sole income of their household, but because they are women they have to work twice as hard as a man to get recognized for a promotion or just a pay advancement. On average, women receive more degrees than men and are still getting paid less. If women are furthering their education and getting a degree to get paid more, why are they not being rewarded?
