What are some of the medical and sexual health issues which may have to be addressed in treatment? How would you go about helping the client to address them? When working with clients, there are a variety of issues that will or could come up when trying to help them recover. When dealing with these issues we need to make sure that we address them properly. Some of these issues that could come up when counseling the client is the medical and sexual health. For example, there are over hundreds of medical issues that could be going on with the client. These can be diabetes, cancer, blood pressure, heart problems, kidney failure, and there are several more. Just as much as there are medical problems there are sexual health issues as well. Some of these can be HIV, AIDS, fertility problems, or some have had several miscarriages. Any of these medical or sexual health issues can be the cause or start of substance abuse with the client.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
