Management and Organizational Behavior The position of a leader is associated with new challenges time and again. One of the challenging situations is merging two teams from different departments. The merging process comes with its own challenges because these are people who have been used to work in a different environment and under a new leader. One of the challenges faced during such a merging process is creating and maintaining a team spirit with the entire group. For worker to attain maximum productivity, they must be able to cooperate with each other and support the vision of the leader. However, considering that some people may not be happy with the idea of being merged with a new group. For instance, in this scenario, the manager of the other group is supposed to work under me as one of my staff. It may difficult for him or her to make that transition because he or she was used to leading the team but is now expected to work at the same level with them.
