1 Annotated Bibliography Vail, Lisa F. "The Origins of Buddhism." Asia Society. Accessed March 27, 2019. . This website goes into a brief description on Buddhism. Buddhism was founded in the late 6 th century B.C.E. It has assumed many different forms. All forms draw from the life of Buddha his teachings and the essence of his teachings. Buddha was born in Lumbini. His birth name was Siddhartha Gautama. He was the warrior son of a king and queen. It was predicted that he might become a renouncer. To keep that from happening his father gave him many luxurious worldly things. His father’s attempt failed. Siddhartha witnessed many severe forms of human suffering such as old age, sickness and death. The sufferings of others in comparison to his own life made him see that many worldly pleasures were only transitory and in fact just covered up the suffering that we experience.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
