Sarahann Singh Periods 9, 10 3/7/2019 Energy and Recycling Lab 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.Two environmental problems associated with the recycling of aluminum are air pollution and fossil fuel use. Air pollution is generated by the melting down of aluminum when recycling, releasing dioxides and particulate matter. Fossil fuels are used to power the large machines which facilitate aluminum recycling. Two economic problems associated with recycling aluminum are the costs required to pick aluminum from ore and refine it into pure aluminum, and the costs of keeping recycling plants open while using much fossil fuel energy. 9.Two environmental reasons to manufacture glass from recycled materials are to preserved the land which raw materials for glass making is extracted. It also saves on the energy from fossil fuels needed to make glass from scratch. Two economic reasons to manufacture glass from recycled materials are because it costs less money to repurpose
