The Nevada Constitution and the United States of America Constitution are two very important documents that impact many people and the way things run in different places. While they both hold the name “constitution” they hold significant differences between the two. One difference being the rights in each constitution and where they can be located. The first amendment in the United States Constitution contains the right to freedom of religion, speech, assembly, press, and petition, but these same rights cannot be found in the first amendment of the Nevada State Constitution, but instead in the 9thamendment. The Nevada constitution’s first amendment discusses inalienable rights. The state of Nevada holds a total of 23 amendments while the United States has a mere 10 rights. The two constitutions contain similar rights as well as different ones, but how these rights are established is very different.
