You know in China being able to write characters well is respected and this art is considered very elegant. This has been around for thousands of years and it’s considered a type of art. People often give each other calligraphy as presents to express their thanks and also to express their respect. I want to learn itfrom my grandfather who writes wonderful calligraphy. There are many intricate skills involved like the pressure of each stroke, it’s like tachi on paper. It’s not just physical technique that matters but it also requires mental techniques. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
