Running head: COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 2 Compensation and Benefits Introduction In many useful and positive comments that surround many companies in the world of business about their fair payment to their members, it is also a problem to find that some big companies such as Walmart being in forefront named as among the unfair companies to their employers. The company has been receiving many critics for several years continuously now over their compensation policy. Though this has painted a bad image to the company and has costed the company reputation, Walmart has not put that much concern on their workers’ conditions. However, Walmart remains the largest employer company among public trade companies in the world of business. Moreover, their many other issues within the company that disadvantages Walmart, such as HR policies among other factors, seems not to be such friendly to its employees. Walmart, however, seems not motivated to give motivation to the workforce of its workers. The company has compensation policies that harm her workers’ motivation, and also it reflects on a high-income rate ( Wahba,2016). The insufficient payment that Walmart makes to its workers gives a clear reflection of the other side of the business, but Walmart company seem not ready to take heed of the factors yet. All its compensation policies have continuously remained the same and unchanged with-it workers receiving no benefits, which can give compensation to their meager pay from the company. Therefore, such systems the discourages many workers unless Walmart company initiates a better compensation policy, it will stand to lose its members' other company with better payment. Company Background Walmart is a company in Arkansas. It started as a small store and have been able to make to it is modest and is among the fortune to top 500’s list great financial companies in the world today. However, in the previous year, they were able to make sales of about $374 billion, which was slightly lower compared to that caused by the GDP of Denmark. Moreover, Walmart company employs about 2 million or more people around the world that then involve more men in the uniform than the number of women in the uniform of the United States army. Walmart company, therefore, broke about a two-year streak of free growth quarters in the year 2014. Since then, the company has remained in many struggles to find its customers back into their stores. The company also, have been in series of many problems in the recent few years.
