Sydney Adams 8/30/18 Kool-aid Killer As I am walking into the hair salon, I can feel everyone giving me looks and stares of confusion. Peeking out from underneath my blonde hair were bright red streaks, just asking for attention. Although it’s not a very natural color, I am actually very accepting of my new hair color and am quite disappointed that I would am forced to take it out so soon. I swallow my pride and walk up to the counter to greet Sarah, the receptionist. “Hey Sydney,”, she says, “have a seat and I’ll tell Hanna you're here.” I take a seat on the couch, and wait for her to come out. I can only imagine what she will have to say about my new look. Finally, she walks around the corner and her eyes grow huge immediately. “Oh my goodness”, she exclaims. “We have some work to do. But first, let me ask… what did you do to your hair?” I sit down in the salon chair and watch Hanna section out the red strands of hair and section them off. From the corner of my eye, I can see the tin foil cover my freshly bleached hair. “Let me start from the beginning”, I say. “Last Saturday, my best friend Logan had sent a text to my friend Rose and I, saying that she thought it would be a good idea for us to get together that Saturday because school was starting so soon, and she wanted to make the summer last as long as she could. So that Saturday night, we all drove to Logan's house. We couldn’t decide what to do, so we searched on Pinterest for some fun things to do with your friends. One of the recommendations was to bake a cake, and Rose and Logan thought that would be fun.” At this
