Endocrine glands- ductless, secretes hormones into the blood Exocrine glands- duct to surfaces, secrete their products onto the body surfaces(skin) or into body cavities (mucous, sweat, oil, and salivary glands) What are the 4 types of cells found in connective tissue and of what type of connective tissue are they a part? What is keratin, and where is it located? Keratin is formed by Keratohyaline granules and is found in the Stratum Granulosum layers of the skin. What is the function of cilia found associated with pseudostratified columnar epithelium? The cilia helps keep substances moving through the esphogus, GI tract while they are being digested. Describe the composition of one of the following types of connective tissue - areolar, dense regular or fibrocartilage. (You need to include cell type, fiber type and ground substance). Of the type you choose, what is its function and identify a possible location.
