Ethical Decision Making in Business Chapter 7 Case (Page 211) Summary: Candace was a new public relations worker at ABCO Corporation. She quickly worked up and was assigned more lucrative responsibilities. Candace saw that people were getting promoted based off their relationship with the supervisor as opposed to their merit, which made her wonder why she was promoted. Candace soon learned that she would be getting a new supervisor. Britney, the new supervisor, was a no-nonsense type of manager. Britney was hard working, which made Candace feel good because of her own work ethic. Britney, while meeting the new employees, went around to ask how work could be improved and made better. Britney came up to Candace and asked the same question. Candace expressed her concern for people getting promoted based on relationships and not merit.
