Have you ever wanted to buy a laptop for use in Business but didn't know what to look for on the computer? Well, choosing a laptop for use in business can be challenging, but not painful. This is because of the wide variety of features, sizes, and prices to consider. Sometimes, you have to weigh options carefully. For Instance, you may have a desktop and may wish to use a portable computer for use outdoors. Also, you could spend most time without a power source, hence need for good battery life. Does your Laptop Run many Simultaneous Applications? If yes, then you need a powerful laptop. A laptop that can handle heavy graphical applications plays video and audio. It should also provide security to customer and business information. Are there other factors to consider? i. Your Budget Before you choose on a brand of a laptop, consider your budget. How much money do you have?. Why? You may end up overspending. But, you also may wish to avoid compromising on the quality. When doing technology budgeting, use different criteria for the various devices to suit your needs. A balance between cost and quality is crucial. ii. Choose an Appropriate Operating System Platform The three most popular platforms to choose from include: a. Chrome This platform is made to access the cloud. Chrome initially was designed considering the needs of students in mind. Students have little starting points. Chromebooks, however, need Internet connectivity at all times and therefore, may not suit the needs of most consumers.

b. Windows Operating Systems Generally, Windows is the standard Operating system for most laptops. The reason is that Windows operating systems are the most flexible and also vary in prices, and have a variety of features.
