Running head: DIGITAL LITERACY AUDIT 2 Phenomenal changes in the world of technology have taken place within the last twenty years. Many inventions have changed the way people conduct business, go to school, communicate, and live life. For example, smartphones are one of those incredible technologies. So many different things can be done right from the palm of a person’s hand with a smartphone. For example, a smartphone can help you get places using its GPS technology, it can be used for instant communication with others through talking or text, it can keep track of all appointments and engagements using its alarm and calendar, they can be used for entertainment, you can surf the web, etc. The list can go on and on. Then you have the internet. It is unbelievable what the internet has done for so many lives. For one, it has allowed me to follow my dreams and go back to school while maintaining a regular life. It was impossible to attend regular campus college classes and care for my family at the same time. Now, going to school online has become an outlet for many and continues to be a growing trend. Secondly, the internet has allowed shopping without physically being in a store. This has saved time and energy for those that do not like to shop in so many ways. It can be done in the convenience of your own home and on your own time.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
