Kayla Neumann Art Visit Analysis Art 100-200 Jessica Raetzke 6 May 2019 “Trilogy The North Idaho College campus does not fall short of beautiful as it sits directly on Lake Coeur d’Alene. The comprehensive community college was founded in 1933 and educates roughly 6,000 students a semester. My first semester here at North Idaho College was directly out of high school in the year 2017 and my first time on campus was during the summer for a recruitment trip. I can recall seeing the first roundabout intersection that welcomes you onto campus decorated in sculptures. There are three large sculptures showcased in the entrance for campus; "The Gift" by C.J Rench, "Intersection" by Allen Dodge and lastly my favorite piece " Trilogy " by Michael Horsewill . The sculptures are individually placed on the roundabouts within the entrance surrounded by some shrubbery. The view these pieces provide give a very modern creative vibe to the college. These pieces went up in the year of 2012 by the Coeur d'Alene Arts Commission and was opened up to artist across the nation. I decided to focus my analysis on the Trilogy piece for a few different reasons. My first impression of this piece was that I found it to be very welcoming. You can imagine your first time pulling into a potential campus where you'll now be living full time can be very intimidating. Seeing this made me feel like I was going to be in good hands due to the gesture of three large structures with many different elements to them. This first impression has stuck with my me through my two years in Coeur d'Alene and I was exciting to dive a little deeper into this piece to discover what its purpose really is.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
