RUNNING HEADER: CONGRESSIONAL HEADER 2 providers U.S. Senate September 9, 2018 Introduction Chairman John, Ranking Member Brian, and Members of the Committee: I would like to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to testify today to speak on healthcare issues. The United States is by far the largest healthcare system in the word. The United States spent trillions of dollars in 2017 and the healthcare spending is projected to increase. According to Yasmeen, “ CMS projected that healthcare spending will on average rise 5.5 percent annually from 2017 to 2026 and will comprise 19.7 percent of the U.S. economy in 2026, up from 17.9 percent in 2016. By 2026, health spending is projected to reach $5.7 trillion ( Abutaleb, 2018).” However, one of the biggest controverials issue today is
