HOMEWORK 7: HYPOTHESIS TESTING 40 POINTS Directions: Read each research question and answer the questions that follow. Research Question 1: Is there a relationship between scores on the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and the Eyberg Child Behavior Inventory (ECBI) in a sample of 350 fourth-grade students? 1. Does this question represent a correlational or experimental research design? Why? ANSWER: (2.5 pts) This question focuses on the relationship between scores, not the differences between them so it is correlational. 2. Which of the two models you learned about in the presentation would state that there is some kind of relationship between the scores on the CBCL and ECBI? ANSWER: (2.5 pts) The Alternative model. 3. Should the null hypothesis for this research question be directional or non-directional? How do you know this? Justify your answer with information from the reading and/or presentations. ANSWER: (2.5 pts) A null hypothesis states that there is no difference, relationship, or change in the scores, so it would be non-directional. Also, there is no specified increase or decrease in either hypothesis

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
