The Challenger shuttle crash speech was delivered the night of the day the incident had taken place, on the twenty eighth of January, in 1986. Ronald Reagan was the one who delivered the speech, on behalf of the U.S government. As he was President at the time, he was the one who took the responsibility of delivering the speech, considering that a tragedy had resulted because of the mistakes of the U.S government. He nation on the topic of the shuttle crash that had taken place early that morning. He had planned to report on the state of the union, but understood the responsibility to broach the topic. This had been a tragedy that left the nation grieving and stunned. It definitely a situation that could have seriously impacted the way space exploration was seen by people at the time. Throughout the entire speech, words related to sadness were repeated constantly. The rate of Ronald Reagan’s speaking changed, with him delivering the speech at both high and low speeds.
