Patrilineal Descent Patrilineal, or agnatic, descent (=patriliny) traces descent exclusively through the male line. Both sons and daughters may belong to their father’s patriline but only the sons will pass this membership on to their own children. The individuals indicated in blue are agnates (patrilineal descendants of a common male ancestor).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
