English 101, Composition 1, Section 001 Andrew, Essay Summary Quiz “To My One Love”, “Two Ways To Belong In America”, “The Loser Edit”, “Pre-Game” “To My One Love” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie pg. 17: “To My One Love” is a short essay written by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. This story starts out with the author describing an interview that she did about her writings when she was 19. When she left the interview, she saw a picture on the wall of an old friend named Nnamdi. Nnamdi was killed during a robbery and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. She then describes how when she was at a university with him, they liked to spend time with each other. He would ask her to be his wife nearly every day. The author then describes the “operation” that Nnamdi was killed in and how much of an injustice it was. She then explains that she no longer can remember the details of their relationship, but that she misses it. She then starts to cry about the last time that she saw him. He had told her that God had made her for him. She then explains how on the last birthday that she was at university, Nnamdi gifted her a card and it started out by saying “To my one love.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
