Hello class Electroencephalography is the first method that measures electrical activity generated by various cortical layers in the brain. Grey matter is part of the brain where using this technique; electrical signals are picked up. It has densities of pyramidal cells that communicate with each other. It is the most preferred method because it is cost effective and requires minimum training. There are various methods of finding the structure and function of the brain. The first one is the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The method follows a procedure that measures the brain function by detecting the flow of blood that is associated with neural activity ( Orrison & Hartshorne, 2017). It utilizes the assumption that neurons require more oxygen when they are active. Participants have to lay motionless in the magnetic core while a superconducting magnet is rotating with high frequency through the body. The change in magnetization between the oxygen rich and oxygen poor blood is measured. The result is the relative activity of different

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
