BUSI 430 BD01DB3 Reply to MaeseDiscussionThere are many fascinating advertisements, both in print and video. However, sometimes the message gets lost inside a myriad of colors and sounds. Above all else, an advertisement campaign needs to be about delivering information (McQuerrey, n.d., para.1). There are numerous different messages that an advertisement can address, and they all depend on the message that the brand is trying to send. It can be as simple as informing the consumer about a new product or pique their interest in the brand (para. 3). Alternatively, it can be more severe in raising awareness and attracting someone to the brand through a community organization (para. 4). Regardless of the reasoning, if the message becomes obscured in the ad, then the consumer is left wondering what their 'call to action' should be.To be effective at getting the information to the consumer an ad must: "Be memorable; Resonatewith consumers; Communicate the product; Stand for values; Be inextricably linked to the brand" (Greenwald, 2014, para. 1).
