Julie worked 7 hours of overtime and 44 hours regular. b) Hours overtime Diego works = 8 hours (at double time) Regular hourly rate for Diego = \$10.25 Overtime pay = 10.25 x 2 = \$20.5 per hour Amount paid for overtime = 20.5 x 8 = \$164 Regular working hours for Ontario = 44 Amount paid for regular hours = 44 x 10.25 = 451 Therefore total working hours = 44 + 8 = 52 hours. Total weekly pay for Diego = regular + overtime = \$451 + \$164 = \$615 Therefore, Diego is paid \$615 weekly. c) Clare’s commission = 40% = 40/100 = 0.4 Total sales for Clare in a week = \$1250 Clare’s gratuities = \$153 Amount she earns off commissions = 0.4 x \$1250 = \$200 Clare’s total earnings = \$200 + \$ 153 = \$353 Therefore, Clare earned \$353 that week. 3.
