IntroductionWhat is relapse? Relapse' is a word that is used in many different ways in a variety of contexts,"to fall or slip back into a former state, practice, etc". Or defined as "deterioration in a patient's condition after a partial recovery ("Defining Relapse", n.d.). Relapse does not only have to deal with someone who is addicted to a particular thing such as alcohol or drugs, it could be sex. Sexual offenders who reoffend are often told they relapsed.
