Page 1 of 9 Chemistry 6BL - PRACTICE FINAL EXAM Fall Quarter 2008 IMPORTANT STUDY RECOMMENDATIONS To be best prepared for your upcoming exam, which covers experiments 4B-6, make sure you review the following items: - Pre- and postlab questions - Lecture notes and exercises included in the lecture notes - Important lab calculations from your lab reports - Important background information and concepts covered in the lab manual - The practice exam provided below (contains the answer key in addition to all the extra pages that would be provided in a normal exam) IMPORTANT REMINDERS As specified in your class syllabus: Note on the class schedule provided on Page 7 of the syllabus that your first exam will be given in lecture on Monday, November 3, 2008 and your final exam will be given on the last day of lecture (December 1, 2008). All exams must be taken during the lecture section that you have signed up for. Failure to take your exam in your own lecture section will result in a grade penalty of zero on the exam. Several lab sections will also be scheduled to take their exam in an overflow exam room (TBA). Failure to take your exam in the exam room assigned to your own lab section will result in a grade penalty of zero on the exam. NO EXCEPTIONS! Each exam will consist of approximately 15 multiple-choice questions. You will receive with each exam a scantron, a periodic table and a data sheet (See Pages 7-8 of this practice exam). You are required to bring the following on the day of the exam: a #2 pencil, a picture ID ( No picture ID = No test and zero credit on the exam! ) and a non-graphing, non-programmable scientific calculator (no other type of calculator will be allowed). Cell phone/pagers, headphones, earbuds, laptops and all other electronic devices will not be allowed in the exam room. No student will be allowed in to take an exam after the first person has handed in their test. Make-up exams are not a possibility . With the student’s permission, exam scores will be posted on WebCT.
