Fuel Cells: What is the target efficiency of a fuel cell? 80% State one advantage and one disadvantage of fuel cells. Advantages: clean, quiet, efficient, renewable Disadvantage: not yet as cost effective as other energy sources What is the difference between an alkaline fuel cell and a proton exchange membrane fuel cell? Alkali fuel cell uses a catalyst to separate hydrogen. Proton exchange membrane fuel cell uses a membrane to separate hydrogen. Nano-composites: • Name one application of nanocomposites. Wilson Double Core ®  tennis rackets. • What is the benefit of Nanocomposite Polymer Electrolytes?  Their production and storage provide superior safety to current wet cells. They also can perform optimally at lower temperatures than other batteries. • What improvements do nanocomposites provide over microcomposites? Increase surface area to volume ratio of smaller particles increases their effectiveness by increasing surface reactions and therefore lowering the necessary loading levels  needed. Nano-lithography: • What limits the feature size that can be produced with conventional non-contact lithography? the wavelength of visible light • Name two nanolithographic techniques that are being developed for future implementation. EUV (extreme ultra-violet) lithography and X-Ray lithography • What is the approximate wavelength of light used in Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) systems, as used by Intel?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
