Is their risk management similar to or different from that of managers of manufacturers and other nonfinancial firms? Answer: Bank Manager must decide in what areas does the bank want to go. How much can and should bank lend out, what areas the money should be allocated to. Additionally, the managers must decide to abandon a project or change some things to create a better out come The specific kinds of risks that a bank manager would face verses lets say a manufacturer manager would face would be inherently different. The bank manager would be making major decisions based off what the Fed has done, or seizing assets that was collateral on a real estate deal, while the manufaturer faces risk with shipments of raw materials being damaged or not showing up.
