Instead, Adriana seems to be a little developmentally delayed by showing aggressive behavior when she is upset, does not say her full name, and does not talk about daily activities which are signs that she is developmentally delayed (Sorte, Daeschel, & Amador, 2014). Adriana comes from a single parent environment which could be the issue of Adriana’s delay in development and she is not coming home happy after spending time with her father on the weekends. It sounds like she is not getting the communication or attention she needs at this age that has been very crucial in her learning social and emotional development skills.
