Greetings! My name is Tasiana Malya, a mother of four children; two boys and two girls. My family and I migrated from Tanzania, East Africa and currently are residing in Jefferson City, Missouri. We landed in Missouri for the first time in December 2000 when I experienced snow for the first time. I was heading to college for my Master's Degree in computer science at the time. Along the way, I changed my mind and started a nursing career. July 2006, I graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing. I then worked for a few years before doing a BSN. In 2010, I went back to school; I graduated with my BSN in 2012. Ever since I have worked in different nursing areas from acute care to long term care settings. Currently, I am a float pool nurse floating between ICUs, ER, Cardiac unit, Med-Surg and Behavioral Health departments. I actually enjoy working as a float pool nurse because I get to see a little bit of everything and no burnout. I thought I was done with school but recently I had the urge to go back to school reflecting a lifelong learner.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
