As part of your description of the concept or idea you may also wish to include an example. 1. The ability to define and identify stress is the most significant aspect of this chapter. Yes, coping and dealing with stress are major skills, but if you do not know what it is you are trying to fix or how to identify it, then the coping skills do not do you any good. Stress is defined as “any circumstances that threaten or are perceived to threaten one’s well-being and tax one’s coping abilities.” There are both minor and major stresses, but both can cause significant problems.
