The 20 th Century and beginning of the 21 st have ushered in an entirely new world we live in. Many different events have shaped the direction we take intellectually, socially, culturally, religiously, economically, technically and politically. Intellectually, we have moved in the direction of increasing secularization and skepticism of values and beliefs held in the past. Socially and culturally we have seen virulent racism which has been combated by a new rise of multiculturalism. Religiously there has been a loss of faith in organized Christianity. Technology has grown in leaps and bounds and has brought increased efficiency in everything, even killing. In the beginning of the 20 th century, intellectual thinkers continued the work of Nietzche, Hertzl, and scientific racism. Hitler used these opinions to as propaganda to justify his Final Solution.
