Approach and Methodology 1 Tara Larkin EDTHP 115 Paper #3 December 7, 2007 The Approach and Methodology of EDTHP 115 Only about 30% of teachers claim to be prepared to facilitate different needs in the classroom, such as integrating educational technology, implementing new methods of teaching, addressing needs of children of diverse backgrounds and implementing state and district curriculum and performance standards (NCES). Although my expectations were different, Educational Theory and Policy 115 benefits all future teachers. It is not an easy A class, as I had heard, but instead, something that I have had to work for and that is only going to make me better teacher. I believe EDTHP 115 with Dr. Gamson is the most beneficial education class that I am going to take at Penn State. The things I have learned in this class, through lectures, recitation and guest speakers, are only going to make me a better teacher in the future. Class lectures, with Dr. Gamson’s explanations, covered many important issues
