Academic or Professional: Professional Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse: Judith has been a friend and a colleague right from our undergraduate program. She relocated to the U.S.A a few years before me and she has been very helpful with guiding me through my nursing career. She talked to be about the different specialties that I could choose from as a nurse and helped me develop long-term and short-term goals in the career. She recently just completed her MSN-FNP at Walden University and is awaiting to sit for her board exams. She shares with me on the challenges she had during the program such as finding a balance between her school, family and a full-time job and what worked for her to achieve her goals. Judith is always willing to free up sometime to encourage and to cheer me on as I make a bold step to further my education. She is a friend and a professional that I can always look up to. Title: DNP-FNP Organization: Change Treatment Centre Academic or Professional: Professional Why I selected this individual and/or team and how they will support my success in the MSN program and as a practicing nurse: Dorothy is a social media activist for the health and wellness of the less fortunate in the society and a mentor to many. She shared her story of how she made it from a humble background to where she is. She may not have been one of the top students when growing up but her resilience and hard work bared fruits. When I first met her, I was challenged to further my education and not wait any longer. She is always trying to gain as much knowledge as she can and never stops to enroll for short courses. Her interest in drug addiction and opioid endemic has pushed her to collaborate with a fellow professional to start up a clinic for those struggling with drug and opioid addiction. She
