Franz Hals Catharina Hooft and her Nurse - 1620 o Incredible portraitist o Very lively figures, spark in faces, personality o Showing girl in a beautiful dress was a mark of her wealth, as is the fact that she has a nurse o If you look too closely at the painting, it almost looks unfinished as the brushstrokes just sit on the canvas o Brushstrokes convey the personality of the painting
