Commission We are a group of Christians who are dedicated to solving the abortion problem
through the application of biblical truths. The Center is vigorously committed as well to
extending the gospel of Jesus Christ to women in crisis pregnancies. In helping
women faced with a crisis pregnancy we allow them to see their ultimate worth in the
eyes of God and to see the same worth in their unborn child.
We accomplish this through service, support, education and counseling, meeting their
emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.
The 21th century saw the emergence of many interdenominational volunteer societies,
which contributed greatly to spiritual and social renewal. We are such a society.
Behind the statistics on abortions stand the women who seek them. Usually these
girls are who are under pressure to abort. This pressure may be the result of difficult
circumstances in their lives or it may come from other people, i.e., the husband or
lover, parents or friends who insist that an abortion be procured. What Would Jesus Say?
Standing before you is a 16- year old girl…maybe she
is you daughter, your sister, a neighbor, or a friend or
acquaintance. She announces her news: “I am
pregnant.” A flood of emotions runs through you, as
you learn two things: This young woman has been
sexually active, and she is pregnant. 5 What Would Jesus Say?
You may feel angry, disappointed, sad, confused
and hurt. Perhaps you feel she has betrayed you.
How could she do this? Did she think of anyone but
herself? And now, amid all these emotions, you
must choose a reaction. What do you say? What
6 What Would Jesus Say?
Let’s consider what she is feeling. She is scared,
confused, hurt, and ashamed, among other things.
She knows she has disappointed may people. She is
not married, she no real income, and a new life has
just begun within her womb. Perhaps the father of
the baby has deserted her. She overwhelmed to the
point that she is probably not thinking rationally.
7 What Would Jesus Say?
All she knows is that her entire life has just been
turned upside down. She had no idea that things
would be this complicated. She is afraid of your
reaction, but she has nowhere else to turn. She
trusts you and she needs you. You want to do the
“right” thing. You want to convince her That her
baby deserves to live. You also want her to know
that sex before marriage is wrong. You think, “I
can’t make things too easy for her - she need to
8 What Would Jesus Say?
Now ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” Would
he tell her, right then, of the sins she has
committed? Would He condemn her? Or would He
reach out to her in mercy and love? I think if Jesus
were standing before her, He would take her in His
arms and shower her with unconditional love. His
hug would convey mercy, love, and forgiveness.
This is how you should react 9 What Would Jesus Say?
There will be time later to tell her of your
disappointment with her lifestyle, but right now
she needs to know that you are going to be there
for her. A sincere hug can break down even the
toughest walls. With a hug, assuring her of your
support, you will have helped to open her heart, and
it will become easier for you to help her understand
why sex outside of marriage is wrong, while
conveying to her God’s love and mercy. You need
to help her accept responsibility for this beautiful life
that God has placed within her.
10 What Would Jesus Say?
Remember: Your job is not to condemn her, or
to teach her a lesson. Your job is to love her.
Because no matter how much love and support
you give her, she will still have to endure the
consequences of her decision not to save sex for
marriage. Any single mother can tell you that. But
any mother, single or married, will also tell you that
children are a gift from God, and that sometimes it
is the children themselves who help to draw their
mothers closer to Christ. Children are a blessing.
“And a little child shall lead them” Isaiah 11:6
11 A Letter To A Single
I know how you desire to give yourself to
someone… I see the longing in your heart to have a
deep soul relationship with someone… I know that
you want to be loved thoroughly and exclusively. I
know how you cry out in your pain and loneliness, for
when you hurt, I hurt too.
12 Letter To A Single Christian
But my beloved child, I’m telling you “No!” Not
until you are satisfied, fulfilled, and content with
being loved by me alone… with giving yourself
totally and unreservedly to Me…with having an
intensely personal relationship with Me alone,
discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction and
happiness to be found 13 Letter To A Single Christian
On your own, you will not be capable of the
perfect human relationship that I that I have
planned for you. You can never be united with
another until you are united with Me, exclusive of
anyone or anything else, exclusive of any other
desires or longings. I want you to stop planning,
stop wishing, and allow Me to give you the most
thrilling plan existing…
14 Letter To A Single Christian
one that you cannot even imagine. I want you to
have the best. Please allow Me to bring it to you.
You must keep keep watching Me...expecting the
greatest things. I want you to keep experiencing the
satisfaction that I Am; keep listening and learning
the things I tell you. That’s all…don’t be anxious…
don’t worry. 15 Letter To A Single Christian
You should take your eyes off others and what
they have received…just keep looking off and away
up to Me… otherwise, you will miss what I want to
show you. When you are ready, I’ll surprise you with
a love more wonderful that any you would dream up.
You see, until you are ready, and until the one I have
for you is ready,(I am working even at this very
moment to have both of you ready at the same
16 Letter To A Single Christian
until you are both satisfied exclusively with Me
and the life I prepared for you, you won’t be able to
experience the love that exemplifies your relationship
with Me, and to enjoy materially and concretely the
everlasting union of beauty, perfection and love that I
offer you with MYSELF…Know that I love you
utterly…… I am God…… believe it and be
satisfied…… You must always remember, you will
never walk alone for I Am with you.

28 Putting on the Armor of
Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able
to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh
and blood, but against the principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that ye may be
able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth and having on the
breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation
of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith
ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the
helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of
God: praying always with all prayer and supplication for all saints… 29 Prepare To Be A

unto them. If any men desire to be first, the same shall be last of
all, and servant of all.
I Corinthians 7:22 – For he that is called in the Lord, being a
servant, is the Lord’s freeman; likewise also he that is called,
being free, is Christ’s servant.

Be Led By the Holy Spirit:
Romans 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God.
Galatians 6:8 – For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the
flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall
of the Spirit reap like everlasting.

35 Prepare To Be A Servant
Prepare For Spiritual Warfare
Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power
of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with
all prayer and supplication for all saints…
36 Prepare To Be A Servant
Seek Wisdom and Discernment:
Proverbs 4:7 – Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get
wisdom, and with all thy getting get understanding.
Proverbs 9:10 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Isaiah 11:2 -- …and the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,

grief; for that is unprofitable for you.
Ephesians 6:5 – Servants, be obedient to them that are your
masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in
singleness of your heart, as unto Christ… 39 Prepare To Be A Servant
Be in Unity Through Jesus:

Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions
among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in
the same judgment.
Philippians :14 – Do all things without murmurings and disputing…
Ephesians 4:3,6, 13 – Endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of
peace. One God and Father of all who is above all, and through all, and in
you all. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the
Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the
fullness of Christ… 40 The Clinic’s Purpose
To Speak God’s Truth in Love
Just what is the clinic’s purpose for being here? Many
would say to give free pregnancy tests, or to provide
to those in need of support. In order to answer that
question, one has to give a deeper reason. Is it for
profit? No, because the services are free and the
clinic is a not-for-profit organization. There are
several reasons, but one of the main reasons is this,
to “speak God’s truth in love”. That is one of the
main reasons the clinic exists. 41 The Clinic’s Purpose
James 3:5-6, 8-10 – So also, the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet
it boasts of great things. Behold, how great a forest is set aflame by such
a small fire! And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the
tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body,
and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell…but no
one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison.
With it we bless our Lord and Father; and with it we curse men, who
have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth came both
blessing and cursing. My brethren these things ought not to be this way.
Oh that little thing called the tongue. It can produce both blessing and
cursing. When speaking God’s truth in love, remember that you are in a
position to speak life or death with your words
42 The Purpose of Training
To Serve, Not Control
Matthew 20:28 –“…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to
serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
The purpose of this training is to remind us of what we are here to do, to “serve”
those in a crisis pregnancy, not to “control” them by making them do what we
think they should do. Jesus served and ministered to a world that was hurting.
Yet He never forced Himself upon anyone, He simply told the truth and urged
them to repent. (See Matthew 4:17)
Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I
have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life
in order that you may live, you and your descendants.” 43 This completes Chapter 2 Please proceed to chapter 3 44 The CounselorClient
Relationship 45 Who Is She?
Women from all ethnic, religious, social,
and educational backgrounds have crisis
pregnancies. ANY woman in her
childbearing years may face an unwanted
pregnancy. However, some patterns may be
seen. There are a number of factors
contributing to the increase in pregnancy
among young unmarried women.
46 Who Is She?
Studies have shown that communication with her parents is a key factor
determining whether a woman becomes sexually active.
The role of fathers is important in the psychosexual development of their
daughters. Over 75% of unwed pregnant women have a bad father
The role of mothers in communicating with their daughters and
providing role models for them may be even more important. One study
showed that the strongest predictor of sexual activity is a girl’s
relationship with her mother.
47 Who Is She?
She is likely to come from a single parent home. Recent statistics show
that between 40-50% of all children in the U.S. are living in single parent
homes. That percentage continues to rise. This affects their relationship
with parental figures.
She may be from a family where both parents work outside of the
home, leaving her unsupervised with lonely hours to fill.
She may be a victim of incest or sexual abuse. At least one out of every
ten women in the U.S. has been sexually abused or assaulted. Often she
reacts by becoming promiscuous, since she sees herself as “damaged
goods”. 48 Who Is She?
The three most common categories that most women will share
are ones you will need to use to help you minister to the
abortion vulnerable client. Because every woman that
comes into the clinic is considered valued by God, she is a:
V – Very scared individual, who has
I – Immense pressures, But has
P – Positive strengths 49 Who Is She?
Very scared – What is she feeling?
Immense pressures – What is causing her feelings?
Positive strengths – How can I use them to give her
hope? 50 She is Very Scared
Worthless (low self-esteem)-Usually she suffers from a poor self-image before
becoming pregnant, but pregnancy intensifies these feelings.
Confusion-She is able to be objective and often acts out of fear or in impulse.
Anger-It can be directed at herself, her sexual partner, and/or her parents. Many
young women are angry at a loss of childhood dependence.
Guilt-She is usually ambivalent about her sexual activity, vacillating between feeling
guilty and justifying her behavior.
Joy-Almost every woman believe...
