IdentityDimensions of Personal IdentityThere are three dimensions of personal identity, these three are divided into categories A, B, and C. Dimension A is a visible dimension, and does not typically change. Things that other people can see like “gender, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, and even age” (Arredondo, 2018, para. 2). These are things that you can not change because you can’t change who you are. With this dimension, people usually make assessments, which can lead to stereotyping(Arredondo, 2018). For dimension A, I have chosen a photo of a quote about age. This photo says, "At 23, JK Rowling was broke, Tina Fey was working at the Y.M.C.A, Oprah had just gotten fired from her first job as a TV reporter, and Walt Disney had declared bankruptcy”(Priebe, 2019, para. 6). Thismeans that even though I do not have everything together, that it is okay, because even some successful people did not have everything thought out at a young age.
