The area is classically a low-income spot, eight neighborhoods close to each other all with similar living conditions 2. Why kind of methodology did the researchers develop to conduct their research? Why didn’t they rely on survey methods or secondary analysis for their research? a. One-on-one talking (interviews for years), surveys don’t provide explanations to answers (can’t figure out the driving force behind the cause of the trends) 3. How did the authors select the women they interviewed? What were the backgrounds of these women? a. Low income women with children living in one of the eight neighborhoods (Caucasian, Puerto Rican, African American) b.
