Grade Academic year version G11 term2 2015/2016 V3 2 Project: term 2 and term 3 Objectives: On successful completion of this project and practical tasks students should be able to perform a given job task with a level of autonomy equivalent to the level 4 UAE QF.and student should be able to: 1- Identify properties of commonly used metals. 2- Identify the risks and hazards associated with ARC welding. 3- Identify and select all the required personal protective equipment for welding work. 4- Prepare for welding. 5- Perform manual metal arc welding safely and correctly. 6- Perform MIG welding safely and correctly. 7- Perform mechanical cutting using power hacksaw and guillotine machines. Project Brief; [This project is two parts; part one is for term2 (the Barbecue tray frame) and part two (the body of tray and the assembly) is for term3] In this project students have to make barbecue tray from the material available in the school.
