Design quality- degree to which quality characteristics are designed into the product Conformance Quality-making sure the product is produced according to design. Quality at the source- each worker takes responsibility for their output. Dimensions of quality- fitness for use; how well does it do what the consumer thinks its  supposed to do (or wants it to do) Set up time- time between good products being produced. Appraisal cost of inspection to find out if we have the right criteria. Prevention-  check polarity of product. (maintenance pg 312) Internal failure- where product fails before distributed. External failure- product fails after being distributed. WHAT ARE THE 6 MAJOR CONCEPTS OF THE “WAITING LINE PROBLEM?”
