3AbstractThis study is conducted to evaluate the efficiency and reliability of using iPads in classroom forthe learning process. The study methodology is qualitative and quantitative. During this studyquestionnaires and interviews are used to collect data. The study participants were around 30teachers that teach with iPads and a whole class of 15 students from secondary stage studying ata private Spanish school Reial Monestir de Santa Isabel and who use iPads in their learningprocess. The result shows different outcomes, the most noticeable advantage of iPad use ishaving access to the internet quickly. This leads to having more information for students andmore choices of activities for teachers to make the best out of a lesson. Moreover, the iPads aresmall and light, which shows that they are very efficient in carrying them. In addition, the use ofiPads also showed an increase in student and teacher motivations to make the classes moreinteresting for both parties, which lead to a better understanding between the students andteachers. However, some minor negative aspects appeared, such as making iPads the centralattention of the classroom rather than considering them as a tool to reach educational goals, thismeans that it can be used as distraction for students. From the teachers’ perspective, their mainworry is that the use of iPads can result mainly in weakening students’ writing abilities and badhandwriting.Introduction
4Technology is taking over the traditional method in every industry, education industry was no stranger to the changes; the technical components of the industry witnessed a notableincrease among the development of the Information Technology and telecommunication infrastructure in the schools. Digital portable devices are increasingly used in the schools due to it intelligence and efficiency. Portable gadgets especially iPads have been making their places in schools classrooms all over the world. In 2013, after 3 years of their launch Apple sold an estimated of 170 million iPads. (Jones, 2013). According to an Apple report in 2017, the use of iPads in teaching and learning continues to grow continuously; and it shows with promising results, the report was showing the success the use of iPads across the schools in the world, these examples showed increase in engagement and motivation of the students, cost saving and resources efficiency for the schools, advancement in academic performances of the students, the report also showcase some importantfigures that demonstrated the positive impacts of iPads within classrooms.
