Strategize As a literacy leader at Chester middle school I would offer support in all areas that principal, Dr. Robison is struggling in. I noticed that the issues that many educators faced were reading skills and lack of understanding why students are not successful and struggling. Mrs. Sandra Rivera expressed concern of her son and the lack of resources he received and how now he is falling further behind. As a literacy leader I am going to work closely with Mr. Shane Tatum, the reading specialist on creating methods and interventions that help to support students and parents. This is a major issue, that many schools face the lack of parental support. Parents are not involved sometimes due to them not understanding the curriculum and assignments being given to their child. As educators we must fill in the gap of communication and make our parents feel more welcome. The test scores for Chester Middle are very low. First, we would need to create a survey of ways that parents can be supported at home. As a staff we would need to evaluate the
