Research Methodology Introduction The research methodology sections majorly deal with plans and strategies for conducting the research. This will entail the collection of data from the field or secondary sources, compiling the data to make a valid conclusion based on the line of the study. The most important part of the methodology sections is a collection of data from the field, analysis of this data using the various tools for analysis in quantitative research. The chapter will hence introduce the methods used in the collection of data, the means for the study of data, the research philosophy, the research strategy, the sampling technique, research design and the ethical considerations in the research. It will also concentrate on finding answers to the research questions since the significant target of the paper is to find answers to the set research questions at the beginning of the article. Philosophy The philosophy of the research is more concerned about the nature of instructions employed in the study. The critical attribute being investigated by the research is the correlation between Children or young adults' overindulgence in media technology and its consequences on their development stages in life ( Livingstone et al. 2018). The new insights, in that case, is about finding out what and how long children take in the media technologies like the social media, the impact of such media platforms on their studies, the effect of such media on the social interaction and as well its effect on the health since addiction to media has been a problem in the current world where majority of children have access to media ( Plowman, 2015).

The most common philosophical approaches used in the field of research are two, and the two are interpretivism and positivism philosophical approaches. In interpretivism approach, the most dominant strategy is the theoretical sampling approach where the respondents are sited and cases used in the research selected on a theoretical perspective regarding how they fit in the scope of the research study which in this case is media technology influence on children ( Plowman, 2016). On the other hand, positivism approach has its concentration on collecting data using the primary data collection techniques in the observable reality trying to determine the relationship that exists between the data and the phenomenon under investigation, the effect of media technology on children development. The positivist approach is hence well known for its feature of data collection and coming up with a general conclusion or opinion. For example, collecting data on influence on media would lead to outcomes of how media technology affects children development ( Madsen et al. 2015). In this research, I will use positivism research because the results of the study will be generalized to present the overall impact of media technology on children development for the entire country ( Berger, 2018). Meaning, the research will sample a few people to get involved in

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
