Section 2 and 3:KL Constitution Preamble Articles Amendments Purpose: long sentence that defines the broad purposes of the republican government created by the Constitution. Purpose: The first three articles establish the three branches of government— legislative, executive, and judicial—and define their powers. These articles lay out the basic structure of the national government. The four remaining articles of the Constitution cover various subjects, including relations among the states, the supremacy of national law, and the amendment process . Purpose: makes a complete and detailed blueprint for Government to follow. Example: Form a more perfect union. Example:Article I Establishes the Legislative Branch. Ex: Second Amendment: Right to bear arms 2. Enumerated Powers are those given to the federal government subject to the Bill of Rights. Implied powers are those that while they aren't stated, they are implied by other powers. 3. Each branch of government has different responsibilities due to the idea of separation of power.
