Unformatted text preview: Ryan Averbukh Professor Nagy, Eng. 111A Question #1 In order to be a successful leader, an individual needs to show that they are capable of using strict orders to drive their message across. The ability to keep the warriors of Connacht focused on accomplishing their task of attaining the prized bull is something that is embedded in Medb’s powerful demeanor. From the beginning of the Tain, Medb is forced to redeem herself as a female leader by proving that Connacht is not at a disadvantage with her at the helm. Her ability to rouse her people shows how powerful her verbal communications can be. Medb is a very persistent character that does not give up easily when it comes to struggle. As with any prominent figure, one of the crucial elements of success lies with the ability to make a beneficial choice on behalf of your people. The chance to have a prestigious bull such as Finnabair is not an opportunity that she will approach passively, but Medb knows that she cannot accomplish this task alone. She states “It was well known it would be taken by force if it wasn’t given freely.
