Deer Corn (DC) falls into the Independent Demand category because demand is driven by deer season dates which vary by state and regions within states, whether it is legal to bait in a particular state/region, the effects ofweather on the harvest (availability), and current trends in the hunting industry. (Wisner, Tan, & Leong, 2019, p. 234)Stocking up or mass inventory is not recommended for any corn much less DC which typically has many additives such as molasses. As a company, I’d want to minimize my stockpileof DC because of product deterioration and shrinkage concerns. Deterioration could be caused by
