(CON’T)•Certification•The formal recognition of knowledge, skills, and experience•Demonstrated in achieving the standards and maintain the guidelines that are pre-set by the profession•Education•Undergraduate and graduate programs •Licensure status•Lace is the, “formal communication mechanism for regulatory organizations” (Stanley, 2012)(American Association of Nurse Practitioners [AANP], 2008)
