Cardiorespiratory endurance is the most important component of physical fitness and best indicator of overall health for young adults It is necessary to sustain energy requirements of normal life Effective c.r. endurance levels also help maintain recommended body weight Cardiorespiratory exercise= exercise that involves and places a stress on the cardiorespiratory system. The ability of the lungs, heart, and blood vessels to deliver adequate oxygen to the cells to meet the demands of physical activity. Cardiovascular system- Heart- stroke volume (the amount of blood pumped out per beat), heart rate (60-80) , cardiac output (stroke volume X heart rate) Blood- transportation (heat, wastes), regulation, protection (immune cells) Blood vessels- transportation of blood Respiratory System- Respiratory pump- (lungs, diaphragm) breathing, inhalation and exhalation Respiratory Passages- funnel air and out of lungs for proper usage Define cardiorespiratory exercise Aerobic- requires oxygen to produce necessary energy to out the activity
