WEEK 6 2Week 61.The seven inclusive practices listed earlier might be perceived positively by peoplewho are gays and lesbians as HP’s nondiscrimination policy will help them to avoid the sex-ual harassment and abuse in the workplace. Moreover, people with homosexual orientation will feel safe and protected there and will be more committed to their work and demonstrate ahigh performance. Other employees, especially those who do not support gays and lesbians might be not very enthusiastic about HP’s nondiscriminatory practice and reinforce their hos-tility and negative attitudes to diverse employees. Thus, it is important not to make diversity and inclusion the ways of reinforcing hostile relationships between employees. Consequently,HP should promote equality among employees and not differentiate people with the homo-sexual orientation to underline its nondiscriminatory policy.
